Potty Train in Three days or Less - One month update

So..... it has been one month since starting potty training. I think the stars have aligned here with C being ready, daddy and I being ready and choosing the right method for all of us. Here is the update.

Overall C is doing great - better than I had hoped. The first 2 weeks were a bit hard because we tried to wait to leave the house till after he used the potty, which made us late for several things. He is now (in the past 2 weeks) getting to the stage where we say it is time to get in the car but first we have to use the potty and he does! Wow!

He can use the 'big' potty when we are out. It is a little tricky for him to sit on the big potty. We have a small seat that sits on top of a standard toilet seat which he likes to use. Only problem is getting everything pointing in the right direction so the pee goes in the potty.

C is wearing pants at home now. The bare bottom was just not practical in the winter. He can pull his pants up and down now when he wears sweatpants (which is all he wears right now). We only did the bare bottom for about a week. Still no underwear yet but I don't think we will wait the suggested 3 months for that either.

We have had a few epic accidents including one huge puddle while checking out a the grocery store. Thank goodness each checker has paper towels and cleaning spray. And another when visiting a new daycare/preschool when C had a diarrhea accident. This time thank goodness for sweatpants with tight ankles.... Poor little guy, I did not know he was not feeling well.

We are still using a diaper at nap time and overnight, not sure when we will try to make the switch there... maybe around his second birthday?
